 | Highlander II: The Quickening starts off introducing the main characters Connor Macleod and Ramirez on the planet Zeist becoming "one". For leading a rebellion against Katana, they are captured and sent to Earth to fight against other immortals being sent there. This all occurs before the first Highlander. After the conslusion, a shield is set up to protect from the suns rays after the ozone layer is destroyed. As Connor becomes an old man, Katana sends two men to fight and kill him. As Connor easily defeats the two, his youth is restored and Ramirez is revived to life where he died. They join a rebellion against the shield corporation to take it down, in belief that the ozone has regenerated. Katana joins with the leader of the shield corporation in an attempt to stop the Macleod. As Macleod, Louise, and Ramirez enter the building, the find themselves trapped in a room about to be killed by a lowering blade. Ramirez pushes the blade away with... Magic... And dies. Upon entering the shield generator room, Connor holds the final battle with Katana. As Connor wins, Katana's quickening destroys the shield, revealing the stars for the world to see. |
