The Protagonists

Connor Macleod - Christopher Lambert

Connor Macleod is the main character of the original Highlander, Highlander II: The Quickening, Highlander III: The Final Dimension, and shared the main part with Duncan Macleod in Highlander: Endgame. He also had a brief cameo in both theHighlander Series and the Animated Series. He was born in 1518 in Scotland and was banished after surviving a fatal blow and being claimed accompanied by witchcraft. He traveled around until finding Ramirez who tought him the rules of the game, and trained him to be a skilled swordsman. He later traveled to Japan for the help of Nakano, also helping in sword skills. After escaping and surviving until the 80s, Connor confronts The Kurgan, defeats him, and wins the prize. Then, he defeats Kane and wins the prize. He is then killed by Duncan Macleod. *Note: This excludes Highlander 2, since it totally destroys any sensible plot.

Duncan Macleod - Adrian Paul

Duncan Macleod got his start starring in the Highlander Series, Highlander: Endgame, and Highlander: The Source. He is 400 years old and, similar to Connor, was exiled for signs of witchcraft due to sustaining fatal wounds. He was involved in the 1st and 2nd World War. After staying semi hidden, he is pulled back into the game in the 90s by Connor Macleod. In Highlander: Endgame, he is again reunited with Connor Macleod and beheads him for the combined power. With that, he fights Kell and wins, ending being reunited with Faith. In Highlander: The Source, he marries a mortal, Anna, and they go Source hunting. In the end, he wins the prize of having a child.

Quentin Macleod - Miklos Perlus

Quentin Macleod is the star of theHighlander Animated Series and in Last of the Macleods. He was born in the Dundee Village, but as it was invaded and attacked by Kortan's army, he was revealed to be an immortal and a Macleod. He joins along with Ramirez, his step sister, Clyde, and a little dog animal to find and defeat Kortan.Visit some of our great partners!

Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez (Ramirez for short) - (mostly) Sean Connery

Ramirez was born in 800 B.C. in Egypt. After years of meeting many immortals, he became a fellow immortal to the Macleods, train in Connor in the original Highlander, helping him as a partner in Highlander II: The Quickening, and training and assisting Quentin in both the Animated Series and in Last of the Macleods. He died from a skirmish with the Kurgan, was resurrected by one of Connor's quickenings, and died again in the shield corporation.

Joe Dawson - Jim Byrnes

Joe Dawson is Duncan Macleod's watcher. He has followed Duncan around for years knowing everything he's done. He was also a member of the United States Marine Corps and was in Vietnam. After having his legs amputated, he was told about the watcher organization before nearly committing suicide. He found new meaning from watching, folowing a few lesser immortals until being assigned to Duncan. He broke an oath of not interfering by helping Duncan in a few situations. In Highlander: The Source, Joe was killed by the Guardian.

The Antagonists

The Kurgan - Clancy Brown

The Kurgan is a Russian immortal with an unknown name and original date of birth. He was first shown in the 1500s in the same battle as Connor Macleod. As they challenges a fight, he runs Macleod through with a broadsword before he could strike. Macleod's clansmen pull him away and push him back before he could behead him. A few years later, he gets into a fight with Ramirez and eventually beheads him. Later, moving into the 80s, he encounters Macleod for the final time. They battle for final time and eventually beheaded by Macleod.

General Katana - Michael Ironside

General Katana was the main villain from Highlander II: The Quickening where he lead an attack on the planet Zeist. After eventually sending Ramirez and Connor to Earth, he spends the next hundred years waiting for Connor to die. After being fed up with waiting, he sends to immortal goons to kill him. After they die, Katana goes himself. He becomes a business partner with the president of the shield corporation to stop Macleod. Eventually, Connor makes it to the shield generator room for the final battle with Katana, where Macleod wins, and Katana is beheaded.

Kane - Mario Van Peebles

Kane first appeared disturbing Connor Macleod's meeting with Nakano. He Brought to goons, and with Nakano's quickening, the cave collapsed and had them trapped for many years. As they are revived, one of Kane's men leave early to find Macleod. Instantly, the other one is beheaded by Kane. As they meet on holy ground, Kane challenges a battle, breaking the holy ground rule. The battle ends with Macleod's katana being destroyed. Kane flees, and they finally restart their fight where Kane is beheaded.

Jacob Kell - Bruce Payne

Jacob Kell sought out vengeance against Connor Macleod for killing his father for killing Macleod's mother. Throughout years, Kell killed many people close to Connor as revenge. With these years, he gained a posse of lesser immortals to help slay away competition, which he ultimately beheads for no particular reason. He gets into a sword fight with Duncan Macleod, to where Duncan eventually offs him.

The Guardian - Cristian Solimeno

The Guardian is a mysterious character with super speed. His original name or any real information is unknown, except that he's a fan of Queen, singing "Who Wants To Live Forever" in Highlander: The Source. He became the Guardian after seeking out the Source and killing the previous guardian, while the other survivor who made it to the Source became a giant immovable object... He, like other villains, travel the world beheading any other immortal who stands in the way of him. He takes the life of Joe Dawson, Zai Jie, and many others in The Source. He eventually works his way to this the Source, along with Duncan Macleod. After an incredible sped up sword fight, he spins so fast, he ends up drilling himself into the ground. After Duncan chooses to not kill him, he then explodes.

Kortan - Lawrence Bayne

Kortan was the one immortal in the Highlander Animated Series to refuse taking an oath of peace throughout the immortals eager to receive the prize. He gets into a sword fight with Connor Macleod, the only person to fight him back, where Macleod is ultimately killed. After 700 years, he acquires a army for the dominance of the post-apocalyptic Earth. He sends out armies to all corners of the Earth causing all sorts of madness, until killed by Quentin Macleod with the help of other immmortals at his support.
