Highlander: Endgame was an attempt to tie the movie series in with the TV series. The film starts off with
Duncan Macleod and Connor Macleod
walking through New York. As they part, Connor heads to his house as it explodes along with Heather Macleod inside. The man behind the bombing is Jacob Kell,
getting revenge at Connor for killing his father many centuries ago, due to them killing his mother for belief of Witchcraft. Throughout the centuries, Kell has been killing the people close to Connor as revenge for. Present day, he gets a group of lesser immortals to storm a sanctuary believing Connor is there.
Duncan arrives to find Kell's posse there to fight him (disregarding any rules of one on one combat). As Kell arrives, the fighting stops, and Duncan is shot out a window by one of the henchman. Duncan is pulled away by
Watchers to keep him from claiming the prize, until then saved by Methos and his other friends. Duncan then encounters his past wife, Faith. She has become a part of Kell's gang claiming he understands the pain she's been through, from Duncan immortalizing her without consent. Kell soon calls all his members to a dinner where he beheads them all, Faith being present. Duncan holds a fight against Connor as he claims they can't beat Kell alone. Duncan painfully defeats Connor, and moves on to fight Kell. In an extensive battle, Duncan manages to Kell. The movie concludes with Faith appearing at the end rekindling her romance with Duncan. |
